Detect hardwarekeys

Question

Hi! I'm trying to develop a game for the HTC Touch Pro. I want to use the hardwarekeyboard so you can use for example a ctrl key to shoot etc. How can I do this using Windows mobile 6?

From VS 2005 onwards we have got HardwareButton Control to get the Hardware Key Press & Events If it is not enough for your needs  you may use Core API functionalities to reassign the hardware key functionalities by using Hook Event Listeners to detect more Hardware Key Events those Methods available in coredll.dll  the method is SetWindowsHookEx() By using public delegate int HookProc(int code IntPtr wParam IntPtr lParam) and public delegate void HookEventHandler(HookEventArgs e KeyBoardInfo keyBoardInfo) we may assign some user defined methods to invoke our own methods while the hardware key press happens. * Above clue is not enough to start working on this You should get some help from net how to use hook listeners and how to ignore the default behavior of the buttons so you may search in net like Hook Event Handling you may get some samples to go ahead. good luck chinnasamy
