Develope Web application - DHTML or Silverlight??

Question

Hi guyz I want to develop a web application and I am not sure whether I should do it in DHTML or Silverlight. I could use the rich UI capabilities of Silverlight but on the other hand Silverlight is heavy on the client and not many users installed it. Are there any solutions or suggestions? thank you

Hi all I 've started to develop web application using VisualWebGui. I found that this allowed me to create web applications much faster then I'm used to in AJAX and DHTML. And now they have a beta of silverlight. But the realy good thing about this is that you only have to code once and you have the same application in both ways (Silverlight and DHML) all you have to do is change the URL. It depends on your needs and requirements. If you must have rich UI which you can't do in DHTML then Silverlight is a way to go. Have you looked at ASP.NET 3.5 and AJAX controls? You may just use them and not worried about Silverlight. VS 2008 has them.
