Dictionary and encyclopedia

Are there any free dictionary thesaurus and encyclopedias out there that I can include in my project at no cost? for example something like word uses?

Hmmm well you could use API in this case. Try searching for don`t know maybe dictionary api in C#? Hope that helped.

Dictionary and encyclopedia isnt as important - what I would like to find most right now is a thesaurus API. And this is a hobby project so I want to find something free.

The problem is when i put C# and dictionary in a query search engines return piles of results about sorted collections.
