DirectX 9.0b compatibility issues...

Question

So in Visual C# 2003 I'm using the .NET Framework 1.1 SDK and the DirectX 9.0b developer SDK with the summer 2003 update. Theoretically if the person has .NET Framework 1.1 installed and the DX 9.0b End User Runtime would he/she be able to run my programs?

You just have to reinstall Direct x9 with the command line: dxsetup.exe /installmanageddx If you don't the managed part is not installed even if the .NET framwork was installed. I was having the exact same problem. It seems you can fix that issue by setting the reference to be copied locally. VS will copy the relevant DirectX DLLs into your compiled project. That seems to fix the problem.

I have this problem.... The message File or assembly name Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D or one of its dependencies was not found. appears in a computer with Framework 1.1 Visual studio .NET and Directx 9.0b but without any SDK. Do I need the SDK? Is this only a dll problem that I can put dlls in the correct directory and begin works? Thanks (Sorry about my English I'm brazilian)
