Direstory.delete problem!!!

Question

Hello every body :)

My problem is that I used a class to uninstall the application with a setup project, but after uninstall, the tool is completely uninstalled but the application folder is not completely removed, some DLLs still in the folder.
It seems that directory.delete() doesn't remove these files, but it doesn't generate any exception and the uninstall is successfully terminated.

I need ur help and ur suggestions.

Remarque: i didn't have this problem in an other PC, the application folder is completely removed!! I can't find the problem :(

Where in the code or any other place should we apply this???... string path = @C:\my_folder_to_delete; System.IO.Directory.Delete(path true); for the application directory to get deleted after uninstall.

It may be happen becase of security permission of the computer or DLL files that are in Application Forlder may be in Process

Hi Try this: string path = @C:\my_folder_to_delete; System.IO. Directory.Delete (path true); Passing true as the second parameter tells the method to delete files & folders recursively. Hence this will delete all files and subfolders from the my_folder_to_delete directory and then delete the actual directory itself. Let me now if this works!
