Of corse you can you can use this connection string within your C# code Provider = Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0; Data Source = [your path]\[your file name].xlsx; Extended Properties = Excel 12.0 Xml;HDR=YES; And you will be conneted to excel like any other data base to specilfy the query you can use the same query as you have found im my article

Thanks but there is a problem i m using Device application and in device application ODBC is not supported so we have to use the OLEDB....Please suggest me........
