display last ID from bank in label

hi guy's how to show last (maximum) ID from table (access database) in label on the Form ...

In that case I think I'd forget the LAST() function and use the same query as we'd use if this were SQL Server rather than Access (Hemant's post above). Try replacing this line: label1.Text = reader[Num].ToString() +  Number; with this one: label1.Text = reader[0] .ToString() +  Number;

Ramesh Last() works only in MS Access but not in SQL Server MySQL Oracle. So the alternative of LAST() is : SELECT TOP 1 column_name FROM table_name ORDER BY column_name DESC; If it helps you please accept the answer.
