display order by

Question

I have table like

sno    name      id       
1       ras         1
2       nnn        3
3       raju        2
4

.
.
.

2000  vamshi     2000


i want to select order by id

but iam using this quarie
selec * from tablename orderby id asc
using above quarie  not display order 

plz write quarie......
