Drop Down List Pre-Selection

Question

Is it possible to specify an element in a drop down list to be pre-selected. I am editing an object and I want to show the user the current value (value from the database) in the drop down list.

Let me restate this: ddlStateList is the ID of a drop down list has already been through DataSource and DataBind process. I do not see the FindStringExact() function in the ddlStateList object. I will give it a try anyway.

Yes (single or multiple values). I use DataGrid as drop-down list (in WinForm). for(int i=0;i In ListBox see SelectedIndex property.
