Dumb question, I'm sure. Please help

Question

So, the notifyIcon has both a click event as well as a doubl-click event. How do you get them to fire independantly of eachother? If I do a single click, only the click event occurs. However, if I double-click the icon, then the click event is fired once, followed by the double-click event. Am I missign something very basic here??? Thank you, Bob
