Edit Registry

Question

I'm trying to write a C# script that will add a program I'm installing to the Shell registry. This way my exe will get called whenever windows boots. However in Vista it fails every time unless I disable the UAC. I don't want to have to disable the UAC. Is there any other way to get this to work?

Yes I want my exe to run at startup. However I've tried putting it in the Run folder and it takes too long. I need an immediate startup.

which Key You Exactly Trying to Modify ???and what task you want to perform by adding these registry key ?? want to start exe at start up ???

@Kirtan Local_User doesn't have a Shell registry. I need to use the Shell reg

you dont need Admin Rights to Add it Under HKEY_CLASS LOCAL USER..you can add Reg Without permition to current user account to load Exe at Every Windows Start ..

@Ashrafur I'm not sure these links will help me. I'm trying to edit the registry in Vista without modifying the UAC using C#. Is this going to help because I'm not sure it is.
