elapsed time calculation

Question

hi how to calculate a elapsed time when i load the form and i do some stuffs and then when i press on one button then it should show the amount of time in one textbox ( from form loading to clicking of button). please help me...

There's one thing that would stop it compiling and that's if you're using .NET 3.5 (VS 2008) or earlier. That's because custom TimeSpan format strings weren't introduced until .NET 4.0. If that's the case then replace this line: textBox1.Text = (DateTime.Now - startTime).ToString(@hh\:mm\:ss); with these two: TimeSpan ts = DateTime.Now - startTime; textBox1.Text = String.Format({0:D2}:{1:D2}:{2:D2} ts.Hours ts.Minutes ts.Seconds);

You can use the StopWatch class .
