Encrypt password??????

Hi all  Can you help me  please i want to know how i can to Encrypt word (such as Password) in asp.net with C# example  i have the password aaa how i can to Encrypt it . thanks.

you can hash the password using MD5 or SHA Algorithm: string hashedPassword=FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile(txtPassword.TextMD5); the class FormsAuthentication will be in System.Web.Security Namespace

If your really serious you'll use the MD5 encryption algorithm which is an almost unbreakable algorithm. It is interfaced nicely in .NET under the System.Security.Cryptography I think it is. Hope this helps!

You can use any algorithm of your own to encrypt the password. For example convert each character to its ascii value and add six to it
