Error on webpage

Hi I am running javascript in IE.. I got this error.. Webpage error details Message: 'document.getElementById(...)' is null or not an object Line: 77 Char: 8 Code: 0 URI: http://localhost:1684/MasterpageMWS/JScript.js Message: Object required Line: 97 Char: 6 Code: 0 URI: http://localhost:1684/MasterpageMWS/JScript.js any one help me.

Do you get the same error in other browsers? (Firefox Opera Safari) If not that narrows the problem down to an IE compatibility issue.

OK For that you should add the prefix for the contenId. One Tips for that. View the page source search that ID you can see some prefix will added with that id... you should add that id also with that getElementId..

s i got ur point. but i already run the code without adding masterpage It execute correctly. when i added master page its not working

So just check all the document.getElementById(ID of the control should be case sensitive). If you place any single letter (uppder for lower or lower for upper) It wont work .. So please check all the control names with document.getElementById.. And one more thing for serverside control if you use document.getElementById(Textbox1.UniqueId) It wont work Change that also with Textbox1.ClientId I think you catch my point...

Check that control is there? If you are using IE 8. Check also the case sensitive of the control.
