While hiring freshers everyone understands that they may not have any specific technical skills yet and they will need to be groomed i.e. will need to be given on the job training. That's why while hiring freshers, aptitude tests or psychometric tests are common. It gives an idea to hiring person/organization where you stand and are you "trainable" or not. Practical development related tests in hiring freshers are common too.Here, completing whole task is not required from you but in what ever you have done, it is seen that how you write code, what logic you follow etc. A certification from Microsoft will help you too to distinguish from other freshers.
