HI EVERYONE, I finished developing a project in winforms. now I want to make that application as a installable .exe file..... so could u help me to accomplish the above task.....

Sachi, He is asking about Installable exe. i.e how to create setup file for an application in visual studio 2008 express edition.If you know, how to do this.please tell step by step procedure to him.

hey the Microsoft visual C# express edition itself creates the executable file. To see where it resides, first debug the program and goto mydocuments\visual studio2008\projects\your project name\your project name\bin\debug. In the debug folder you will find 4 files of which the first one is the executable file.

Sorry mohan ,I m using visual studio 2005 only.I don't know about visual studio 2008 express edition.But you please search "setup project" in New Project Window of visual studio.I doubt on its availability in Express edition or else It may be in some other name.

Hi samy, I searched for "setup & deployment" option.... but I couldnt find it..... actually I am using [Microsoft visual c# 2008 express edition] If u dont mind, could u specify step by step procedure bcoz I am not well familiar in this area

Mohan,try Setup Project to achieve your requirement . Simply Select "Setup and Deployment" as Project types in New Project window of visual studio.then select Setup Project and do the necessary things.Its very easy to create Setup for your project using this.
