Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure of starting the process for the user instance

I had hardware problems and had to move my project to a different PC. On the new PC I get the error "Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure of starting the process for the user instance" when I try to look at the database in server explorer.

I think so the value of my connection string is Data Source=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\Numbers.mdf;Integrated Security=True;Connect Timeout=30;User Instance=True

In your application have you mentioned somewhere UserInstance= true in connectionString ?
