fetch the last time records from current date

hii friends ...Good Afternoon.. I have a table name as Recharge and it has a column recharge_date and Current_bal now i want to fetch last data or value from column current_bal of last day. like- I want the last data or value of yesterday from column current_bal. How can i do that...

Fetch the records using order by clause select Top 1 * from Recharge order by recharge_date desc -- or if you have identity column will get much efficient result select Top 1 * from Recharge order by id desc

There are sql server built-in provided functions which can be used to get last day date and then check in where clause to fetch the records of yesterday an example would be: SELECT Current_bal From Recharge Where recharge_date = dateadd( day datediff( day 1GETDATE())0)
