File and fileinfo class

Hi What is the difference between File and fileinfo class in vb.net ?

'File' is a convenience class which provides static methods for creating opening copying moving and deleting files. It's convenient because you can do all this without having to create FileInfo and/or FileStream objects manually. However if you need to do several operations on the same file it's more efficient to use FileInfo instead.
