We have the Attributes to Change the File like HiddenReadOnlyNormalArchive for ReadOnly string path=c:\MyData.xml; System.IO.File.SetAttributes(path System.IO.FileAttributes.ReadOnly); for ReadOnly + Hidden (use bitwise OR - | ) string path=c:\MyData.xml; System.IO.File.SetAttributes(path System.IO.FileAttributes.ReadOnly | System.IO.FileAttributes.Hidden); for Append with Existing Attributes string path=c:\MyData.xml; File.SetAttributes(path System.IO.File.GetAttributes(path) | System.IO.FileAttributes.Hidden); Avilable Attributes in System.IO.FileAttributes Archive Compressed Device Directory Encrypted Hidden Normal NotContentIndexed Offline ReadOnly ReparsePoint SparseFile System Temporary You can use any attributes as per you need. -Manivannan
