Finding tomcatserver installation directory.

Question

In eclipse i am trying to create dynamic web application while doing this it is asking me to provide tomcat installation directory.How to get that directory in my system.Actually i am using windows 8 OS.please help me to find a way.

Found out the location. Double clicked on tomcat server inside eclipse and got the server path. something like this .. C:\EclipseWorkspace.metadata.plugins\org.eclipse.wst.server.core	mp0 The location of the web app will be in the .metadata folder inside eclipse workspace (chk server path) and the converted jsp files can be found in location as given below. serverpath\work\Catalina\localhost\loginApp\org\apache\jsp OR In case of Windows(in my case XP):- Check the directory where tomcat is installed. Open the directory called \conf in it. Then search file server.xml Open that file and check what is the connector port for HTTPwhre you will found something like 80098080 etc. Suppose it found 8009use that port as /localhost:8009/ in your web-browser with HTTP protocol. Hope this will work !
