For change the color for few second

i m harish varshney .........
i want to go one button to another button when occuring event (click event ) on third button .to identify this action i want the background color of button should be red ...but problem is this when i will click the button the second button color must be a red for some second ...............then target button color should be a red .................
please help me ...............i m in big trouble
