For loop problems?

Hello! Why lbProgressMsg.Text=Testing in progress...; don't take effect? When i<=j it display lbProgressMsg.Text=Testing is ended; only? private void btnTest_Click(object sender System.EventArgs e) { int j=100; for (int i=0; i<=j; i++) { progressBar1.Value=i; System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(25); lbProgressMsg.Text=Testing in progress...; } lbProgressMsg.Text=Testing is ended; }

Actually if you're just displaying Testing in progress... don't put it in the loop; no reason to set the text multiple times. private void btnTest_Click(object sender System.EventArgs e) { int j=100; lbProgressMsg.Text = Testing in progress...; lbProgressMsg.Update(); // force an update for (int i=0; i<=j; i++) { progressBar1.Value=i; } lbProgressMsg.Text=Testing is ended; }

Even with a 25 millisecond sleep (which is NOT much time) your machine isn't getting enough time to redraw the control.
