hi all of u

if i forget my password how i will get my password and how that password should be send to my reference mail id or phone number. i am developing this feature in my site. how it could be done

Hi When you creating your account store the values in Database...the values are like your Name  password email id  contact number etc. if you forget the password or username... In the new page(forgetpwd.aspx) ..user has to enter his mail Id..when he clicks the enter button get the values of username and password from database... If you want to send the values to mail id: use mail server(like SMTP etc). If you want to send the values to mobile number(SMS): use Third party SMS api's. Check the muralidharan suggested links...

Use unique any thing means column to represent any username and password. There are some thing: At registration time use question and answer group. At registration time use Email address. At registration time use Phone number. for send sms on mobile then use sms api for third party and retrive your password from database table and take it in string then send. same as for email
