garbage collector ?? pick odd one out

Question

Hi hello everyone

pick odd one out ... i.e pick which is not true option
1. Garabage collector manages reclamation of unused memory
2.it deals with circular references
3.you can be certain when an object will be reclaimed by GC
4.it disposes UN-referenced objects
------------> whats ur take on this with explanation please ...

I am thinking of option 3 but not sure .. .. .. :)

In case of 3 no you can't be sure when GC will grab the object but definitely it will grab it. So my pick is also 3.

Yes the answer is option 3. Even if there are no remaining references to an object you can't be sure when the GC will next run and collects objects in that particular generation. Also if the object has a destructor it won't be collected when the GC next runs in any case. Instead it will be placed in a queue until the finalization thread next runs. The object will then be removed from the queue and the code in its destructor will be run. The object will be finally collected when the GC next runs after that.

I also agree on option 3 as others When MSIL newObj excutes then GC trigger and check gen0 object and mark in upper generation and reclaims the memory so we don't be certain that which object will be exist in which generation ZeroOne or Two. gen0 is less stable and gen2 is more stable. gen2 object is stable object.
