performance betweene using xna and dx?

can you use c++ and dx to make games for xbox?

what do you have to do to sell a game for xbox (via xbox live)? I heard about some membership that cost 100$ that but i am not sure.
how good does the game have to be to actually earn some money(example)?

what about selling games for windows? is the easiest way through some sites? how good do they have to be to earn some money?

I made some games with c++, and some with python, I am learning c# because I want to earn some money making games or business apps. But should I go back to c++ because of speed?

I know that. When I said I want to earn some money making games I ment indie and causal games. I know that I can't create an AAA game beacuse I don't have a team of 300 people.

Microsoft provided DirectX for Windows explicitly to provide the performance that is needed for games. I know very little about XNA but I assume it is designed with performance being a primary requirement. I know of one game developer that would be very frustrated if it is not possible to use assembler language to program an an xbox. I don't know if it is possible but he uses assembler for nearly all game development for the other game boxes; I guess that would be psp and wii. Vulpes is correct; the games market is saturated. Don't expect much success. You might be different but if so then you must have new ideas that other people like. It is common for people to think they do but they are unsuccessful for some reason. So for every hundred people like you there might be a few that can succeed but most people will tell you that it is foolish. If you are the exception then I hope you succeed but the odds are against you. There are many people that want to be singers and dancers and other perfomers but there are only a few successful ones. If learning games development motivates you to learn something that can be rewaring for you then it is worth pursuing but please at least understand that there are hundreds and probably thousands of others like you.

Although I'm not a games developer myself as non-one else has answered I'll try and give you some answers from my limited knowledge of the subject. AFAIK you can only use C# and XNA for XBox360 development. You have to pay $99 a year for an App Hub registration to develop games for XBox 360. The market for games on Windows XP Vista and 7 is pretty saturated and the really successful ones tend to be written by a team of people (designers and developers) nowadays. So if you're working on your own I'd avoid that market. However developing games for the fledgling Windows 8 may be a different matter - particularly to start with.
