generate sequence number using sql

generate reference number using sql but only one number is in like these 0001 if it is generated and the number will give to form or some thing after that 0001 +1 =0002 will be generated like wise dont add number sequence ly in table I am Waiting

Hi muthukumar You can achieve this sequence by having a small logic link SELECT RIGHT((1* 10000 + 1 )4) o/p - 0001 If you want next sequence you would be passing 2 then d above logic will generate 0002 Hope this answers your question if it helped you plz mark it as answered.
