What are difference between generic and generic collection?

We'll a generic type in C# is a type which is not fully specified until you replace its type parameters with actual types. Foe example Dictionary is a generic type but you can't actually use it in your programs until you replace K and V with actual types such as string and int. The underlying code is the same whatever types you use though the choice of types may be constrained in various ways. Generic types are often collection types such as List  Stack etc. but they don't have to be. It's also possible to define generic methods as well as generic types.
