Get a user profile for administrator on share point home pge

Question

Hi I came with this typical task.To get user profile for administrator on a home page.

I had through this website Get manager of current SharePoint user using SPServices and GetUserProfileByName[^].Though I couldn't get the result and lagging on understanding the concept.I don't get any clear picture. Please let me know the logics and about the solution.

For those code it shows xhr can't open.

Hi You dont need to write this much of code its very simple var thisUsersValues = $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({ fieldNames: [TitleName FirstName LastName JobTitle Picture Department EMail Office WorkPhone MobilePhone Manager] }); you can access all fields from this array thisUsersValues. For and e.g Manager Name = thisUsersValues.Manager; let me know if you face any issue

Hi i had tried to some extend and found that I have to mention the WebURl:http://win-l9p2naii0nv:10001 after it was getting the values. var thisUsersValues = $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser({ WebURl: http://win-l9p2naii0nv:10001 fieldNames: [TitleName FirstName LastName JobTitle Picture Department EMail Office WorkPhone MobilePhone Manager] }); var managername = thisUsersValues.Department; alert(managername); But I was really confused that the $().SPServices.SPGetCurrentUser would fetch every details based on our login user name but why we have to give the hard core value?

Hi Gowtham Not sure about your issue but can you try this. Instead of having the jquery library from internet pelase download it to local and refer in your page and try. let me know
