Get current DataSource and Merge with New DataSource

Question

Hi all How is it possible to get context to a current datasource in a project using the api? What I am trying to do is retrieve the dataset currently in the project merge it with a new dataset that I have created with new fields and then at the end map to my report(this part I know). How is this possible? Thanks sg

hi friend It depend on condition how you want to merge it with it dataset... first condition is: you have both dataset with same schema and it possible to merge them using API: simply Dataset1.Merge(Dataset2); other wise if both are with different field and i have concluded from your description of problem that you have datasets with different fields in this case.. then option for merging left is only join[like sql join]. and ADO.NET provides functions to join two datatables in datasets.
