Get data from database

Hi... I want to retrieve only those dates from database where Saturday and Sunday don't exist.

look, i need one information here, how you have stored your date in database? as Jagan said above, it is good if you have day in separate column. in case you have simple date in your database, no problem here. what you need to do is loop through your database records and view the date there and check out the day for example, string day = myDateTime.Day.ToString(); Now, compare the 'day' field data, if you find 'sunday' or 'saturday' as you said, ignore this to bind it in data container which will be displayed to user. hope this scenario helps you.

Hi, You can get date from database which does not exist sunday and saturday's date by following way. Declare @fromdate date,@todate date set @fromdate='2011-07-01' set @todate='2011-07-12' Drop table #temp Create Table #temp(AllDates datetime) while(@todate>=@fromdate) begin insert into #temp Select Case when DatePart(weekday,@fromdate)=1 then Null when Datepart(weekday,@fromdate)=7 then Null Else @fromdate End as Alldate set @fromdate=convert(datetime,@fromdate)+1 End Select * from #temp where Alldate is not null Thanks.

Hi, Its better to add day of the date as a column in the table and get the dates where day column values are not sunday and saturday. else it is some what difficult for me.. Wait for some more replies.. may they give you easy way to get it...
