i want to display the list of logical drives i done it but when i publish my website drives does not change as per machine please help me

Unless you're writing an intranet application where it can be guaranteed that all clients will be using IE listing the local drives just isn't going to be feasible and so you're going to have to rethink that part of the project.

hey bro what i actually want is i want to display all FTP Folders and files at 1 side and on other side i want to display local drives so that i can perform uploaddownloaddelete and rename functionality..

If it's not working are you sure that ActiveX is enabled in the browser? There's no way any reputable browser is going to give a web application access to the client's file system unless some sort of plug-in (or ActiveX in the case of IE) has been installed for this purpose.

For security reasons there's no general way in which you can get a list of drives on the client machine. However if the client is using Internet Explorer then you can use javascript and ActiveX to do it: http://stuff4mdesktop.blogspot.co.uk/2008/11/get-client-systems-drive-list.html

it runs without error but the problem is i publish it on another machine and m accessing it on my machine and it showing me drives of machine where i publish my website.... i want that when user access web site it must show his local drive not of server machine

Your code returns list of drives in the machine (where the application running). I believe that it is not working with server due to security reasons. Include your code with in try... catch block and try to find the exception. So that we can identified the exact reason behind that.
