get size of picture folder??

hi all, I hope any one can help me in this problem... suppose i have a picture folder .. how i can to get the size of this folder in C# language. thanks

That will only get the files in that one directory. If you have sub-folders and want them included in your size, then you will need to implement a recursive algorithm to go through all subfolders.

thank you chuawenching i am trying to do it like: DirectoryInfo dir = new DirectoryInfo (@"C:\WINDOWS\pic"); FileInfo[] fil= dir.GetFiles(); long size = 0 ; for(int i = 0 ; i<= fil.GetUpperBound(0);++i) size = size + fil[i].Length; really i donn't know another way to do it

Hi, Within MSDN, it says that you can use Directory class to get the size of the folder. But i can't find the way of doing it. Maybe you can do a looping on the files within that folder and get the sizes of it. Then you have to do manual calculation. But it will be super slow if you have many files + directories. Maybe someone here can share their experiences :)
