Hi How to get the Last inserted Id value form database using entity framework webAPI . that has id as primary key and is a identity

Hi You can do like this. using ( var context = new MyContext ()) { context . MyEntities . AddObject ( myNewObject ); context . SaveChanges (); int id = myNewObject . Id ; // Your Identity column ID } Hope this will help you.

I am using webApi Entity Framework.. In that HttpGet Method it will diaplay all the entities from database. But I want to get the last inserted Entity all the fields from Database

I believe EF should update your entity object with the identity Example var entity = new Entity_Table { item1 = val1 item2 = val2 }; dbcontext.Entity_Tables.Add(entity); dbcontext.SaveChanges(); int newId = entity.ID;
