Getting File Information from ftp server

Question

Hi Friends Iam developing a c# application to upload and download files from ftp server the upload and download methods are working fine but if a file already exists in ftp server same filename it is not asking for conformation it just replaces the old file  is there any options to check a file already exists or get file information from ftpserver .
