Google API for C#?

Question

Hello My group and I are trying to implement a specific information retrieval program for our class. I have no experience in this area: is there a good API that will allow us to query google and then play with the results in our C# program? Thanks!

Google maps? We are not interested in maps we want to query the search engine. That said any search engine should work really.

Ryan: There is a google API; visit here to get a key to use it: http://www.google.com/apis/maps/ I would also recommend getting a copy of Google Maps Hacks from O'Reilly; it was written by Rich Gibson and Schuler Erie. Since Google Maps will GeoCode an address or a lat/long; and since they use a querystring to pass the address or lat/long you can use it to do either with nearly no effort and no API or key.
