please provide the demo of how to get latitude and longitude of the cuurent location from the mobile's gps system and how to plot on the map programatically and also provide how to show the nearby places using the latitude and longitude of the current location.

Since you are talking about Android platform Google has done this job and they are providing samples + tutorials for you to easily get started with what you want to do in the activity. Android supports these with the LocationListener object or the Fused location listener that is provided with Google Play Services API.
