Grid view......

hi...
i need help.....
using file uploading i got one excel file ...after uploading ...i saw this excel file . I put edit button in the grid view

			edit

after click on edit ....it goes to a next page it have one form.filling this form and click on insert button ..it will display with excel sheet in grid view....
it will show in the particular row which table edit button i was clicked

please....anybody

thank you.... i can't view this two pages in a single grid view 1. excel sheet(it is not save in db) 2.edit view(another form)

In the markup of the gridview you can use something like below for your edit link ' /> The underlined part is one line uniqueID is something that uniquely identifies the record (e.g. the primary key in the database for the record).

can u explain this to navigate to the form pass unique identifier of record (id excel filename) via querystring in url

Do you have a database behind your application? If so for the upload upload file store filename in database retrieve record(s) and add to grid view to navigate to the form pass unique identifier of record (id excel filename) via querystring in url save form data update record identified by querystring
