grid view page index search

hi can i do search of page index according to my column value.i have a search button in which i want to search a row according to a column value .i want which column value i search that row in which index of gridview and that index value i have to display in label.give me some idea... on click of search button use find control data and display in grid. for eg: for(i=0;i { label lbl(label)grid.rows[i].findcontrol(your lbel name or other); if(lbl.text==yoursearch data || etc) { display in label } }
