gridview cell values

Question

If you're populating the grid from this sort of statement in Page_Load: If Not Page.IsPostBack Then ' populate the grid End If then a simple way to check whether it's a postback problem or not is to remove the 'If' statement and see whether the Text properties are still empty following a button click.

yes it is gridview And i thinks because of it is on button click server might not getting anything If it is what might be solution?

Are you sure that GridView1 is the GridView? I am not very experienced with ASP but I know that things like that are not as simple as we would like. Since you are doing it in a button click that means that the client computer must send something back to the server correct? Are you sure the server is getting the GridView correctly?
