Gridview with checkbox

Question

Hi I am working in asp.net and sqlserver and I am using grdiview with checkbox and link button. I want to one information if record is active then don't do any thing in checkbox link no any update on database after click on button. if status inactive then click on checkbox after click on link button then status has been update? please help how can do this?
