i have a grid view i want to swap its rows using drag and drop and then update those swapped row new row index to database on button click. kindly suggest the way

i think you didn't get my question. suppose there are 5 rows in grid view with value as a b c d e now i drag c to first row b to second last row then gridview should become as c a d b e the row swaping should be by dragging the row to desired location in gridview. and at last i should get row index value of each element on code behind i.e. c----1 a----2 d----3 b----4 e----5
