Is this for an ASP or a desktop application? If ASP then it should be in the ASP forum. If it is a desktop application then you are being mislead with suggestions that are for ASP applications.

You need to place the Hidden Field control in your page. On click of the button event. Store the value 0 to the hidden field. So that you can validate the hiddenfield value in the page load of the page-2. Just like a flag we have here to make visible false or true.

Have a hidden field & Button in page-1. On click of the button, set the hidden field value to 1. Redirect to Page-2. In page_load of the Page-2, just have the following code. if (Page.PreviousPage != null ) { HiddenField SourceField = ( HiddenField )Page.PreviousPage.FindControl( " HiddenField " ); if (SourceField!= null && SourceField.Value.ToString() == "1" ) { Label1.Visible = false; } }

Through Cross Page Postback you can do it. Through Query String you can do it. Through Session Variable you can do it & etc. There were lot of options to achieve it. Can you explain little more to know the exact scenario ? I think while redirecting from one page to another on click of the button event, that label should be made visible false, right ?
