Has Microsoft changed its surface?

Yesterday Microsoft launched a surface tablet. Few years ago I thought surface was its own device and it seems like MS has loaded Windows 8 on a Samsung tablet. Time will tell but interesting.

Thanks Vulpes. Now it all makes sense. New Surface Tablet is not the original surface. It's seems like a Tablet running Windows 8 :)

I was surprised that they'd decided to reuse the name 'Surface' for the new tablet. The old Microsoft Surface has now been renamed Microsoft PixelSense and (apparently) has no connection with the new tablet except for the touch interface: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_PixelSense
