In any case the answer to your question is that a template column allows you to add and customize your own web controls to the column cell like hyperlinks labels text boxes...etc. A Bound column is an ASP.NET premade type column whose value is bound to a data source. ASP.NET provides premade bound columns like TextBox columns whose Text property is bound to a value from the datasource or CheckBox Column whose checked value is bound to a boolean field in the data source.
