How can i calculate rank of Student based on his marks MVC

I want to calculate rank of Student Based on his marks and display in view. How to perform this in??? I am Using MVC 5 Razor Thanx in advance

You can do this stuff from database side applying Rank() or dense_rank() or ROW_NUMBER () function on mark field. You can send extra alias field from your sql query. Like this in sql query ROW_NUMBER() OVER ( ORDER BY tbl_Student.Mark) AS Rank
