my dear thanks for respond but i want to get the max row in the table rows index the max row not max columns values i tried to use limit key word and give it row number but it wasn't suitable in visual studio sql i tried to use rownum keyword but also it wasn't suitable i want to deal with the index of the rows to move between rows

hi I can not get your quesion end to end. but up to i understand from your quesion is you want to find max row from SQL table and also move data between rows? correct? so you can use MAX key word to find max row from table. select Max(salary) from EmpMaster. and you can move row data by using update statement. hope this will help you.
