how can i validate email address...??

hi i m developing Windows application. I m takeing email address as input in to the text box. Now how to validate it. I tried many time but i failed. Please guide me. write me code. PLEASE. Thank you bhavin gajjar

Yeah there is a regular expression for email address... I think MoeMax has the solution for it :) Cheers.

Hi You can use the System.Text.RegularExpressions.Regex Class....The function IsMatch (4 overloads) one of them takes 2 params..the first is the string to validate and the second is the pattern to validate against...the pattern for e-mail address validation is \w+([-+.]\w+)*@\w+([-.]\w+)*\.\w+([-.]\w+)* Good luck
