Hi there are few ways you can achieve this: - with OLEDB connection in C# here are some useful links: http://www.codeproject.com/Tips/705470/Read-and-Write-Excel-Documents-Using-OLEDB http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10637918/how-to-use-oledb-to-create-excel-database - with C# excel automation  this approach uses an Excel Interop dll which is basicly a .NET's wrapper of COM functions that MS Excel uses also you have some sample codes in the above comments. - with OpenXML SDK  note that with this approach you can only create a newer XML based files (XLSX) also it has some learning curve you will have to know the basics of this OpenXML format in order to properly work with it. - with some third party for example I used this .NET Excel component in the past and I found it to be easy and intuitive  you can find a sample how to create an excel file with it here .

Hello if you haven't MS Office installed on your machine or you don't want to use it you can try this 3rd party .NET library . It allows to work with .xls .xlsx and .csv formats. Check this MSDN link for details of how to create an Excel spreadsheet using COM interop: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/ms173186(v=vs.80).aspx Just add a reference to the latest Excel object library you have on your machine if it's not version 11.
