How databases differ from the normal storage as Memory cards  Disks and other storage devices?

According to Database Management System Famous Book Korth Database is the collection of interrelated data. Database Management System is the set of programs to read those type of data. So DBMS is a software where you store data. Where as All the storage devices are hardware Database management system is a software which is install over hardware. In Storage device you store row data where as In Database you store information. How much you knwo I don't know But as I know without storage devices you cannot store your database.
